This image captures the sophisticated and complex beauty of a Geisha expressed in a quiet simlicity. Based on a photo in
in the historic town of Kyoto, Japan.
This painting was entered in an art show in Usuki Japan in 2007 and took best of show. There are some subtle
textures and patterns in the black that may be difficult to see in a photo over the internet. The background
and kimono both have a rich but subtle texture.
