Praying Mantis Party

Praying Mantis Party, by Scott Moore

The Praying Mantis Party was inspired by the fact that I constantly saw praying mantis in the bamboo fields in Japan. It's a prevalent figure in Japanese sumi paintings and in Chinese art as well. It's the only insect that can turn it's head like a human, and the praying mantis can play a mean jazz tune if you get them out on the town.

The original is 30" x 10" on Fabriano Artistico Hot Press.
